Founder of OAC, Melissa, is proud to provide quality outdoor experiences and learning for all, as a qualified Rock Climbing Instructor and Summer Mountain Leader. With a background in education and mental health support, and an ever expanding sense of adventure, the aim of creating a space for connection, community, learning and personal development is well and truly off the ground.

Here at OAC we want to enable others to access activities and beautiful places that they might not otherwise venture into. As climbers and hikers ourselves we know first hand the massive benefits of spending time in nature or the sense of achievement that can be accomplished in developing skills in navigation, finally making it to that mountain summit or ticking off climbing routes from your wish list.

The journey into the outdoor profession so far has created many cherished moments from climbing routes above the glistening sea on the Cornish coast, scrambling the intimidating Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye, enjoying the most breath taking fluffy cloud scenes from the Snowdon Horseshoe and discovering the many hidden gems that Dartmoor has to offer. As well as the places the job takes us to; the people we meet along the way contribute hugely to motivating our ambitions. As a whole the climbing, mountaineering and outdoor instructor community is professional, progressive and striving for development. We learn so much from other professionals in the industry, always with an appreciation that that there is more to discover. “Be the sponge!” is a favourite term of mine, take it all in, soak it all up, there is always learning to be had.

Outdoor Adventure Connection started as a personal journey and has grown into something to be shared.
